Jefferson City Fairgrounds, Jefferson City, CO; June 10-11 Drive over the Rocky Mountains

We headed out early from Green River and headed for our night at Jefferson City Fairgrounds. It was no time before we could see snow-capped peaks of the Rockies in the distance. I took so many photos (nearly 2,000) it's a wonder the camera didn't burn up. We passed through Eisenhower Tunnel at over 11,000 feet! By the time we got to the fairgrounds we were exhausted. The place was literally a large, sloping parking lot with water and electric hookups. The restrooms were about 300 yards away but new and clean. We crawled into bed fairly early and were on the road again around 7 AM headed for Chappell Nebraska and a two-day layover so we could get some packing done.
